Yunxin Wang, also goes by Karen Wang, is a first-year graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Master of Science in Social Policy and Data Analytics, which is a two-year STEM-designated program. She finished her undergraduate study in China majoring in International Politics and Economics while minoring in Finance. Her passion for international affairs has inspired her to intern at international organizations, including Greenpeace East Asia and American Chamber for Commerce in China. In 2017, Yunxin became one of five young leaders selected from top Chinese universities for Georgetown University Initiative for US-China Dialogue on Global Issues. Under the guidance of former Senior Director at National Security Council, she published for essays and had academic interchanges with experts from NSC, Brookings Institution, Department of State, and People’s Congress. Yunxin was also the Vice President of the English Debate Society at Beijing Foreign Studies University, where she led teams in domestic and international debate competitions in 5 countries and achieved the honor of Semi-finalist in 2019 World University Debate Championships (WUDC) EFL category. Aiming to apply data analysis in policy development, she is now studying data analytics in the context of financial policy.
