Yerin Yoon is a first-year MPA (Master of Public Administration) candidate at the Fels Institute of Government. She is particularly interested in studying education policy in economically developing states, and hopes to work for a think tank or intergovernmental organization upon graduating in August of 2020. Yerin lived in Thailand for 11 years before attending college, and her time in Southeast Asia has influenced her love for travel and new cultural experiences. She hopes to continue moving from country to country every few years in order to gain further global insight and to feel challenged in new environments. In the summer of 2018, Yerin interned at the Boston Consulting Group in Korea working on a project at the intersection between EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and construction) and the petrochemical industry. In 2017, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Deals Advisory intern, conducting research in a wide variety of industries ranging from frozen dessert goods to national defense. At the University of Pennsylvania, she is the Director of Communications for LPSGov (Liberal and Professional Studies Student Government), where she represents the LPS body to the larger graduate school community.
