Vorada Socatiyanurak, commonly known as Belle, is a Sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania. Her experiences cultivated her interest in majoring in International Relations as well as motivating her to pursue law. The internship at the Court of Justice, which Belle participated in the summer of 2019, sparked her motivation to become a judge. During the internship she was able to observe court trials and study about the court system, judicial procedures and, judgment writings at the Office of the President of the Supreme Court of Thailand, the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court (CIPITC), Criminal Court, and the Thai Arbitration Institute. Belle also worked closely with senior judges in organizing and preparing each round of examinations and competitions in the 2019 CIPITC Moot Court Competition. She was selected to be the Master of Ceremony for the final round which was broadcasted live on television. In 2017, Belle successfully negotiated the signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with the UNICEF Executive Director of Thailand in founding Thailand’s first - and Asia’s first - UNICEF Student Chapter at the International School Bangkok. She was elected by chapter members to become the first and founding President of the UNICEF Student Chapter as well.
