Catherine Znamirowski has a B.A. in Political Science from Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she graduated with a 3.8 GPA. Catherine is now pursuing an M.A. in Global Affairs and Human Security at the University of Baltimore. Her graduate coursework focuses on British politics, Europe’s refugee crisis, and international development. As this is Catherine’s final year in her M.A. program, she is working on her capstone project, which is a comparative case study of select international development think tanks in the United Kingdom. Catherine has always had a passion for writing. In 2014, she began working as a writing consultant and student-managed Notre Dame of Maryland University’s writing center for three years. Currently, Catherine works as both a writing fellow and writing consultant at the University of Baltimore. These experiences have helped her develop advanced writing and editing skills, and she has discovered a new passion – teaching writing to undergraduate and graduate students. After she graduates in May 2020, Catherine is looking to work at an international development think tank based in Washington, D.C. or the United Kingdom. As for her long-term goals, she hopes to obtain a PhD and teach international relations at the college-level, thus combining her passion for politics and teaching.
